The Boska Aseel breed and Sonatol Aseel breed are often mistaken for the same breed, but in reality, they are entirely different. In Pakistan and India, there are many Aseel breeds with various colors, among which the Boska Aseel color and Sonatol Aseel color are quite rare. Although there is a difference in color between these two breeds, people don’t take it seriously and often confuse the Boska breed with the Sonatol breed, and vice versa. We will explain the differences between the Boska Aseel breed and the Sonatol Aseel breed.
Boska aseel breed:
A distinctive feature of the Boska Aseel breed is that the hair on its neck, tail, and the area above its back is yellow in color. The rest of the body does not have any yellow hair. If you see this specific color pattern, you can understand that it is an original Boska. However, if there are light yellow spots on other parts of the body, then it is not a pure Boska; it could be a crossbreed of Boska Aseel.
Sonatol aseel breed:
The Sonatol Aseel is a breed with a color that resembles gold. The entire rooster appears as if it’s golden. People often think that Boska and Sonatol are the same breeds with the same color, but the main difference lies in their color.
Difference between Sonatol and Boska aseel breed:
The biggest difference between these two breeds is their color. Both have a yellow color, but Sonatol’s yellow color covers the entire body, while Boska’s yellow color is only on the neck, back, and tail.
How is the Boska Aseel breed produced?
The Boska Aseel breed can be created by crossing two specific colors, yellow and white. To breed the Boska Aseel, you need to cross a yellow Aseel that resembles the color of gold with a pure white Aseel. When you cross these two colors, it’s almost certain that you’ll produce a Boska-colored Aseel at home.
How is the Sonatol Aseel breed produced?
The Sonatol Aseel breed has a predominantly yellow color, with very little white. This breed is created by crossing yellow and white chickens. When you take the chicks that result from a yellow and white cross and breed them again with a yellow one, the Sonatol breed is produced.
Female of boska and sonatol:
The female of the Boska Aseel breed is just like the male. They have the same colors and qualities. We haven’t observed any separate changes that we could describe to you.
Eggs of boska/sonatol:
The female of this breed also lays a similar quantity of eggs as other Aseel chickens. After laying 12 to 15 eggs, she reaches a state where, if eggs are placed under her, she can easily hatch chicks.
